Help & Support
The questions Tingles ASMR users ask most. Anything else? Tap Send Feedback in the app menu.
Sound stops when the screen is off
Your phone's battery saver is putting the app to sleep. Many Android phones do this, especially Samsung, Xiaomi and OnePlus.
- In Tingles ASMR, go to Settings → Playback → Background playback and tap Allow background playback, then Allow.
- On Samsung, also add the app under Settings → Battery → Background usage limits → Never sleeping apps. Other brands have a similar second switch.
The full fix, with steps for each phone brand, is in Sound stops when the screen turns off. On the free plan, YouTube videos pause when the screen turns off. That's expected: mixes, playlists and podcasts keep playing.
Can videos keep playing with the screen off?
With Premium, yes. Lock your phone or leave the app while a video plays and it keeps going as audio, then comes back as video when you return. Starting Sleep Mode on a video does the same and stops it when the timer ends.
Mixes, playlists and podcasts play with the screen off for everyone. See Playing ASMR with the screen off.
Can I add a YouTube artist I like?
Yes. Open Artists, tap Add Artist and search for the channel, or paste its @handle or link. Without Premium you can add up to 5. See ASMR videos and artists.
To suggest an artist for everyone, send their name through Send Feedback in the app menu.
Are the videos copied from YouTube?
No. Videos aren't copied, re-uploaded or downloaded. They play straight from the creator's YouTube channel through YouTube's official embedded player, the same way news sites and blogs show YouTube videos, so every play counts as a view for the creator. To visit a creator's channel, tap their name under a video and choose View on YouTube. Subscribing, liking and commenting there is the best way to support them.
How do I loop part of a video?
- Open a video and tap Loop below it.
- Drag the slider to choose where the loop starts and ends.
- Tap Start Loop.
To stop, tap the loop times below the video, then tap ✕ on the panel. Loop is a Premium feature and isn't available on live streams.
Continue with Apple closes the app or does nothing (Android)
Continue with Apple opens in a web browser. Install or turn on Chrome or another browser, then try again.
You don't need an account to use the app. Tap Skip Sign In and everything works, kept on your phone.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Apple and Google handle subscriptions, so you manage them there.
iPhone: Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Tingles ASMR.
Android: Google Play Store → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Tingles ASMR.
You keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for.
I have Premium but the app doesn't show it
Open the app menu, tap Go PRO, then tap Restore at the bottom of the screen. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you subscribed with.
How do I delete my account or my data?
If you signed in, go to Settings and, under Danger Zone, tap Delete Account. Your saved mixes, playlists, favourites and history are deleted from Tingles ASMR for good.
Without an account, everything is kept on your phone. Settings → Danger Zone → Reset App clears it, and so does uninstalling the app.
Is Tingles ASMR really free?
Yes. Every sound, mix, playlist, ASMR video and podcast is free. Premium is optional. It adds Sleep Mode, Smart Mix and video Loop, and lifts the free limits. See What's free, and what Premium adds.
